Sure, it's stiffly acted and features some of the oldest teenagers ever seen on film, but as a trend-bucking representative sample of 1950s American-made "giant monster" flicks this is a genre classic. Plus, Criterion's Blu-Ray treatment is wonderfully done. Highly recommended.
