Keyword View: i don\'t PR Dark Skies on Blu-ray & DVD May 28 ![]() Keri Russell and Josh Hamilton as a young couple with children living in the suburbs. As husband and wife, Daniel (Hamilton) and Lacy Barrett (Russell) witness an escalating series of disturbing events involving their family, their safe and peaceful home quickly unravels. When it becomes clear that the Barrett family is being targeted by an unimaginably terrifying and deadly force, Daniel and Lucy take matters in their own hands to solve the mystery of what is after their family. PR This Must Be the Place on Blu-ray & DVD Mar 12 ![]() When legendary Goth rocker Cheyenne (Sean Penn), long-retired in Dublin with his firefighter wife, Jane (Frances McDormand), learns his estranged father is dying, the childlike recluse travels to New York to seek reconciliation -- only to arrive too late. Upon discovering his father's unfulfilled quest for revenge against an ex-Nazi war criminal taking refuge in America, Cheyenne embarks upon his own journey of reawakening in this engaging and unpredictable road adventure from internationally acclaimed director Paolo Sorrentino. DVD Review FEMME FATALES: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON ![]() I like the premise of this sexy Cinemax anthology quasi-noir series more than I like the actual eps themselves, which is essentially attractive women taking control of various nasty situations, as well as being nude most of the time. They don't call it Skinemax for nothing. Read More... PR Undefeated on Blu-ray & DVD Feb 19 ![]() A true story about courage and character, the Manassas Tigers - a severely underfunded and underprivileged high school football team - endeavor to reverse their fortunes with the help of a volunteer coach, Bill Courtney. Undefeated is a one-of-a-kind sports movie that will thrill and inspire - a moving affirmation of all that is best in us and all that is possible. Read More... DVD Review STORAGE WARS: VOLUME THREE ![]() One of the hottest shows on cable returns in this 2-disc set featuring the second half of season two. It may be reality television, though recent events have raised questions about whether there's more "television" than "reality." Read More... DVD Review RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION (BLU-RAY 3D + BLU-RAY) ![]() I had very low expectations for this and the experience ended up falling just about where I figured it would. But the image transfer? Flawless. Read More... DVD Review TWO-LANE BLACKTOP (BLU-RAY) ![]() Even if you're not a gearhead (and I most certainly am not) there's an undeniable sense of self-discovery and purpose in Two-Lane Blacktop, a stripped down, revved up love story about men, cars, women, life.

The extras, on the other hand, are fantastic. Read More... PR Bully on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD Feb 12 ![]() Follows the lives of five students whose stories each represent a different facet of America's bullying crisis, and the families that fight for them. A call to action, the film not only captured the attention of the country, but fostered a national dialogue about bullying, uniting parents, teachers, and students in the fight against the violence that has gone unchecked for too long in our schools. PR Frank Spotnitz's Hunted debuts on Cinemax Oct 19 ![]() Golden Globe nominee Melissa George stars as Sam Hunter, a skilled, gutsy operative for Byzantium, a secretive private firm involved in global intelligence and espionage. After surviving an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team, she returns to work, but doesn't know who to trust. Shot on location in Europe, the primetime suspense show debuts FRIDAY, OCT. 19 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT) on CINEMAX. Read More... DVD Review MY SUCKY TEEN ROMANCE (BLU-RAY) ![]() This one got a lot of buzz because writer/director Emily Hagins was just 17 (or 18 depending on what you read) when it was made. That sort of overshadowed the film itself. Sure, My Sucky Teen Romance is often uneven and amateurish in spots - and shows the limitations of a rookie director without much capital - but if you look through all of that the result shows a fresh, creative filmmaker with a keen eye for the genre and a whole helluva lot of promise. DVD Review THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS (BLU-RAY) ![]() It doesn't matter to me one bit that this Criterion Blu-Ray of Wes Anderson's colorfully brilliant The Royal Tenenbaums has the same extras as their 2002 SD release because the new director-approved transfer is quite simply: stunning.

A hashtag for Twitter posts of #NBCFail captured the frustration of the audience. Quickly the story began to splinter and their emerged accusers and defenders along with a multiplicity of issues. News Tony Martin, Debonair Pop Baritone, Dies at 98 Posted by: News Editor - July 31, 2012, 6:28 am - News PR Piranha 3DD on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD Sep 4 ![]() Stars Danielle Panabaker, Katrina Bowden, David Koechner, David Hasselhoff , Christopher Lloyd, and Gary Busey. Directed by John Gulager and written by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. The film incorporates the classic elements of the teen horror/exploitation movies of the 1970s, packed with ferocious flesheaters, scantily-clad young victims, and bizarre and exciting twists and turns. Whereas Piranha 3D took place on a lake, the 2012 sequel is set at a water park, complete with water slides and a lazy river - the perfect places for piranha mayhem! Read More... |
