DVD Review SECRET SUNSHINE (Criterion Blu-ray)

This drama promises to be yet another example of just how great Korean cinema is. Venerable director Lee Chang-dong is one of Korea's best filmmakers, and with actress Jeon Do-yeon leading the way, this has to be great.

Originally rated X by the MPAA and subsequently edited by distributor Miramax, Hardware will be presented uncut and uncensored for the first time ever from a print supplied by Stanley himself. In addition, the limited edition two-disc DVD and Blu-ray will include audio commentary, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes footage, and Stanley's never-before-seen hour-long Super 8 version of the film.
