Two best friends and park groundskeepers, Mordecai and Rigby, a blue jay and a raccoon whose attempts to escape their everyday boredom take them to fantastical - and sometimes unintended - extremes. Maintenance duties for Rigby and Mordecai are just dull enough to somehow propel the pair into different wild shenanigans each episode.
A singer's journey of self-discovery through the city, and the characters and experiences he encounters along the way. This tale is steeped in folklore, surrealism, and music, starring and featuring a score by the experimental blues and folk recording artist Willis Earl Beal.
Created, written by and starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein the Emmy-nominated and Peabody award-winning series returns with a new season of character-driven sketches taking place in the affable and absurd land of 'Portlandia'. This 2-disc DVD set contains all 10 episodes
Transports the action to the brutal battlefields and dusty villages of Afghanistan, where a band of Marines risk their lives to save a woman fleeing certain death at the hands of her Taliban pursuers. Battle-scarred and disillusioned by the war, Corporal Chris Merriman is put in charge of a unit whose next mission is to resupply a remote outpost on the edge of Taliban-controlled territory. While driving through the hostile Helmand province, a Navy SEAL flags down their convoy and enlists the unit on an operation of international importance.
Breaking the traditional late night talk show format by infusing celebrity appearances and comedy sketches with a tinge of the surreal. Host Scott Aukerman engages his guests with unfiltered and improvisational lines of questioning, punctuated by banter and beats to reinvent the traditional celebrity interview. Along with the series' character cameos, filmed shorts and surprise guest stars. This season also features special holiday-themed and musical episodes!
A surreal thriller that follows Paul, a troubled young man who lives in a rural house with his pregnant girlfriend Claire. Paul's world is turned upside down one night when Claire's sinister, predatory mother, Agnes arrives at their house to visit. Paul is instinctively afraid of this witch-like woman who seems to know all of his darkest secrets and fears.
A fascinating combination of a classic, indie love story and an exploration of faith and fanaticism, set amidst the gritty urban world of lowrider culture.
Graham Chapman was a member of the legendary British TV comedy troupe Monty Python and had the starring roles in the feature films Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Monty Python's Life of Brian. But he was largely an enigma, even to his troupe mates John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and animator Terry Gilliam.
The time-traveling, third installment of the Men in Black franchise reunites Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, along with Josh Brolin, as they travel back in time to 1969 so Agent J (Smith) can save Agent K (Jones) from an alien assassination.
Based on the wildly popular six-season Danish TV show of the same name. Follows two wildly inappropriate friends (played by celebrated comedians Frank Hvam and Caspar Christensen) as they run amok through the Danish countryside plowing through social taboos, unspeakable debaucheries and absurd encounters.
DVD Review 4:44 LAST DAY ON EARTH (BLU-RAY)
Abel Ferrara hasn't made a great film in quite some time, but all signs point to this being a return to form for the director. The presence of the always-reliable Willem Dafoe certainly doesn't hurt.
All 35 episodes of the show are included in the 5-Disc set along with an essay written by Tom Shales and bonus features with the cast and crew, including interviews, audio commentary, a Paley Center panel from 2000, deleted scenes and alternate versions of select episodes without the laugh track.
Jack MacKenzie (David Arquette), once a hot Hollywood composer, has fallen on hard times. Battling his repressed memories, depression and addiction, Jack starts to lose control of the one thing he values most - his mind. He must now pull himself together before something goes horribly wrong. However, in the city of dreams...life isn't always at it seems.
DVD Review THE GOLD RUSH (BLU-RAY)
I'm ashamed to say I'm never seen a movie either starring Charlie Chaplin or directed by him. What better way to finally break the seal on this cinema legend than with what many consider to be a comedic masterwork.
Catch up with actors Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins, as well as the film's director Andrew Stanton, to bring you the low-down on the jaw-dropping, action-packed adventure and read an interview with Willem Dafoe, who plays a 9-foot tall alien called Tars Tarkas.
The horror-thriller follows a group of teenagers dealing with the sudden return of a friend who went missing a decade ago. When the friend falls ill they take her to a hospital, but end up trapped in a horrific labyrinth. The film was inspired by Fuji-Q High Land's famous "Labyrinth of Horrors" haunted house ride, and the film was shot at night in the amusement park. Yagira Yuya (Nobody Knows), Maeda Ai (The Sword of Alexander), Renbutsu Misako (Ikechan to Boku) and Katsuji Ryo (The Shonen Merikensack) race against time to escape the maze alive in this eye-popping horror thriller from director Takashi Shimizu.
Edward Furlong stars as Pete Nelson, a depressive loser waiting out the end of days in a Las Vegas hotel room. Suffering from selective amnesia, he can't remember large swathes of his past, and resorts to interrogating his multiple personalities (and a local ghost) for clues to his own existence. His search is continually interrupted by surreal hallucinations and bizarre fake movie trailers (like Reagan Force). Pete's quixotic journey leads him to an ascetic writer living in the desert (Peter Coyote), who ultimately turns both of their worlds upside down.
Interviews with Martin Scorsese, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Grace Moretz and Ben Kingsley that were completed for the DVD/Blu-ray release of Hugo
