PR Secure The Second Season of The Border on DVD August 25th

Toronto, ON (August 18, 2009) ñ After the successful release of Season One, Video Service Corp is releasing the second season of the CBC hit drama The Border on DVD.. Season Two will be available on August 25, 2009 at a suggested retail price of $29.98 for the three disc set.

In season two, Major Mike Kessler (James McGowan) and the ICS elite border-security task force risk their lives to protect Canada from terrorists, corporate spies, and the international mafia. Agent Liz Carver (Grace Park, Battlestar Galactica), joins the group as a smart, ambitious U.S. Homeland Security Agent who Detective Gray Jackson (Graham Abbey) finds impossible to resist. Dougie Jackson (Nicholas Campbell, Da Vinciís Inquest), Grayís father, leads Kessler and ICS down a dangerous path with deadly repercussions. Daisy Beaumont (The East Enders) also joins the cast as the amoral, engaging British M16 Agent Charlotte Bates.

Winning two 2008 Gemini awards and nominated for nine, including Best Dramatic series, The Border continued to receive rave reviews in season two. TV & Satellite Week, UK says, ìThink 24 meets SpooksÖ.a high octane drama.î The Toronto Sun calls The Border: Season Two ìa gripping TV dramaî and The Daily Mail, UK describes this season as ìrefreshingly tautî. Season Two was recently nominated by the Monte Carlo Television Festival for five awards, including Best Dramatic TV Series, Best Performance by an Actor for the showís star James McGowan and Best Performance by an Actress for Sofia Milos.
