Jim Carrey is back and very nearly in full, legendary comedic form with Yes Man. This romantic comedy riff on self-help gurus smartly avoids the huge mistakes that the similar-themed The Love Guru made, and Carrey exhibits the comedic timing that he often showcased during his heyday. Warner's Blu-ray is a great disc, complete with wonderful extras, including some HD exclusives.

REVIEW: Jim Carrey fans are going to love the extras collection, which begins with Downtime on the Set with Jim Carrey. This short, four-minute piece is a great look at Carrey honing his craft while prepping for a scene with director Peyton Reed. Anytime we get candid footage of Carrey doing anything, it's a laugh-a-second extravaganza, and this is no exception.

Jim Carrey: Extreme Yes Man takes a 12-minute look at the film's crazy stunts. We get a mixture of on-set and interview footage where the cast and crew talk about how daring Carey is in insisting on doing most of his own stunt work, and a great, candid look at his bungee jumping experience.

On Set with Danny Wallace: The Original Yes Man is a Blu-ray exclusive, eight minutes of footage centering on the author of the book Yes Man, Danny Wallace, who takes us on a tour of the set of the film. He's quite an engaging guy, who seems to be having a great time interacting with the cast and crew.

Next, we get a look at Future Sounds: Munchausen by Proxy. This five-minute mock documentary is hosted by the fictional Graham Summerset, who talks about the "band" and talks to the band members, with performance clips in the mix as well.

Another Blu-ray exclusive extra is Say "Yes" to Red Bull! This is essentially two minutes of on-set footage of Carrey shooting the manic Red Bull sequence. This is Carey at his best.

Yes Man: Party Central with Norman Stokes (Rhys Darby) is another Blu-ray exclusive that fans of the hit show Flight of the Conchords will enjoy immensely. The great Rhys Darby (in character) takes us on a two-minute tour of Norman's apartment, showing us his DVD collection (including Anaconda, of course), and shows us his keyboard talents.

We're also treated to five "Exclusive Munchausen by Proxy Music Videos" for the songs Uh-Huh, Yes Man, Star- Spangled Banner, Sweet Ballad, and Keystar. These are a total of 14 minutes long, and are basically extended performances that were left out of the finished film.

There's also eight deleted scenes that run for over seven minutes and a gag reel that is essentially five minutes of hilarious Jim Carrey antics that fans will want to watch repeatedly.

AUDIO: The Dolby TrueHD 5.1 track gives us lossless audio that is much more dynamic and lively than most comedic mixes. The rear speakers spring to life when least expected, and some powerful, deep bass really packs a punch.

VIDEO: This 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation utilizes a top-notch HD transfer to present nothing but sharp, detailed images. The color palette is full of bright, vivid hues, with accurate flesh tones and no blemishes or bleeding. There's nothing in the way of dirt or grain, but a few digital artifacts pop up, in a non-distracting manner.
